A hybrid book launch and drag show. George Lester is an award winning drag queen (That Girl) who currently runs a Drag Bingo at the Broadway Theatre. George’s new LGBTQ+ YA novel, "Don't Die Alone, Lucas Cook!" came out in January.
A Q&A/In conversation session with superstar of LGBTQ+ YA Simon James Green, the authors will discuss the significance of the month, and the significance of LGBTQ+ books in a world that seems intent on silencing them. Themes will include activism surrounding books, the current backlash the LGBTQ+ community is facing and why books are important as a way of accessing information and making the LGBTQ+ community feel less alone.
The Q&A will be followed by a drag show performance from Drag Artists of the Year That Girl, Drag Idol 2024 Winner Shar Cooterie and Gold Rush Season 4 Winner Brent Would.
